I'm back, got back at 11 last night from the beach. My tanks seem to be fine, still need to test them but visual they seem fine, no dead livestock. Been busy unpacking and reading a bit on here, have a lot to catch up on but just thought I'd stop by. Went to one of the NC aquariums while I was in NC, it was amazing. They had a 235,000 saltwater tank, I took some pics, along with other tanks and the beach, I'll post them later, need to finish checking up on tanks and unpacking.

I'm new .... i started the topic " silliest pics ever" im from Texas and have a 55 gallon tank. Just starting out too with 5 danio barbs, 5 tiger barbs, 5 rosy barbs, 2 bala sharks, 2 sebea monos, 2 suckers...and i just got 2 tiny flat flounder suckers i call salt & pepper here's a pic of salt....What ya think??Bell aka Anna

atm i have a question for you..you have a 5.5 g saltwater...already with some pepermint shrimp and housed with other shrimp..you have live rocks in there and some coral....how would you have the room for a SW fish? people are saying my tank would be overcrowded with my betta and 2 corries..what type of fish are you planning on getting..just curious?

nice tank setup, when I get my 95ga, I want to put in an emerald crab, and you reminded me, I allways wanted a yellow clown goby! I can't beleive I forgot about it lol.

Yes, it feels good, and it won't leave a whole in your wallet either.

a betta and 2 cories, depending on the cories determines whether it's overstocked or not, though cories perfer 5, they do ok with 3 and two is pushing it. If your water stats are fine then it's ok, and if you think your fish are happy then it's fine. Everybody has diffferent ideas on what is overstocked and not for small tanks especially along with large tanks, it's ultimately up to the owner to decide what she/he feels is comfortable in his/her tank. If you feel your cories are fine together and show happy signs then it's fine, if you think they could use more space then maybe it's time to get another tank or give them away. It's really up to you but no your not doing something horrible like keeping an oscar in a 5 gallon tank if you keep the cories in there. I've talked to people who say it's ok and some that say it's not ok to keep cories in a 5 gallon tank, it's about 50/50 so whatever you are comfortable with, I personally don't have expierence keeping cories in small tanks.
