AAHHHHOOOWWW!!!!!!! I WENT ON THE BOAT TODAY AND GOT FREAKIN BAD SUNBURN!!!!!!!!! But I did catch three Red Snappers that were big enough to keep. mmmmmm....dinner...maybe I'll put one in my tank, lol. That would be the Ghetto way to farm raise snapper lol.

Where were you fishing? It sounds like you got a good payoff for the sunburn. I mean, if you have to suffer (lots of water, hydrating will help you heal, aloe and vit e for the skin), at least you have something yummy to look forward to.

But, I WAS worth it, we caught 4 snook, 5 snappers, one HUGE Redfish that broke the line (was like a 26in redfish!), and a whole ton of catfish...I hate catfish! Too bad snook wasn't in season...I could have kept those ones we caught!

Congrats with the snappers. I've never been sunburned before except maybe when I was really little so I don't know what it feels like. :P

I always get sunburn! I'm realy pale so it happenes easily. I just got back from portugal and it was boiling there. we took 4 bottles of suntan cream with us and nearly finished them all between the 4 of us the ammount we put on - still i burnt! and the mosquito bites are soo itchy! I hate those little things!

actually that product was recalled.. it made fingers fall off and then people couldn't itch anymore so they complained.

I'm so sorry. A couple of years ago, my wife and I went to Florida and spent a day at Pirate's Cove water park. Despite coating ourselves in sunscreen four times, and the fact that it was overcast almost all day, we both ended up burnt beyond belief. We actually spent the entire next day in the condo, not just hurting, but feeling sick because we had been burned so badly.

that sucks - had that happen to a friend in college once. he was miserable for weeks.

it's something how you can burn worse on an overcast day than a sunny one and water amplifies the effect.. the tropical & sub-tropical sun is pretty intense here.
