I try to feed my fined babies a variety of food.

I've heard puffers like krill so I bought a jar of the freeze dried variety for my stars & stripes puffer, Steve. I soaked it as directed and placed it in the tank. Steve freaked out and swam to the other side of the tank and hid behind some live rock!

I still had leftover silverside fish from my wolf eel, so I decided to give one to Steve. He swam to the other side of the tank and tried to bury himself in the sand!lol!

Is is just me, or is my puffer defective?

Okay, I kinda laughed at the thought of the puffer running away from the krill - not the bravest thing in the world, is he?

I hope everything's okay though. Maybe his tank mates are making him extra jumpy?

He love mussel, crayfish, squid, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and ghost shrimp. I'm not worried about him starving. lol. He just picks the weirdest stuff to be afraid of! Silly Steve.
