I turned on my tank lights wondering where my fish had gone none of them were swimming around the top like normal.. started looking around the tank and found that my pictus cat, my Opaline gouromi, my rainbow shark and my bichir were all cramed under one of the rock formations in the tank... why when the lights are on they want nothing to do with each other and as soon as the lights go out they all cuddle up in one spot strange!!! I have plenty of cover throughout the tank and i just added alot mor plants and rock formations... what would cause this?
Since you just added more decor, maybe it will take a day or two for them to get used to it. They are sleeping by each other for the comfort of something familiar. Or, check your water temp. I've noticed that my goldies all sleep huddled together in the winter when the water is cooler, but in the summer, they spread out more. Unless, of course, they are plotting to take over the tank, the room the tank is in, and your house.....do you have flood insurance?
