ok so i was at my
LFS today, and was looking at their bettas, when i saw a couple go up to an employee. I know, i'm so nosy, anyway, the guy tells the employee his fish are dying.
I listened in, his girlfriend( who happened to be blonde) said their fish started dying after a
water change. I was like ooh dear,.. so then they said the did a 50% water change and there employee said: Your bacteria is gone, your fish need bacteria.
i stepped in and asked
"how long have you had the tank for?"
they all turned and looked at me, i felt so embarrased
ALAS there was the answer, it wasnt even a month old. So i start telling them about cycling the tank before you add fish and bla bla bla you know it all, and then i told them about the
nitrogen cycle, and i told them to get the test kits and everyrthing. The employee got mad at me!! He was like:
YOu dont need those, they just mes up your water... i was like.... oh no control your anger..>! i told them they should buy some artificial bacteria andtest kits, and they did so. Who would take advise from a 16 year old
they did. i felt good after
