I just have to share this story.
So, hubby's doing his regular
water change with our new 25 foot hose that hooks up to our sink and works perfectly for the 60 gal. in the dining room off the kitchen. He is short 2 feet to our 2nd tank in the living room. He decides to fashion a longer hose with the hose from the gravel vacuum. Works beautifully, but I think you may start to see where this may end up going.
Then, along comes our 2 1/2 year old daughter, Emmy and our dog, Keesha. Both of them think watching the stuff zoom down the hose is much fun. Dog decides to jump on the hose. We yell at dog. I put dog outside. While I'm gone, hubby yells. I run to find out what happened only to see water gushing out all over my living room floor and hubby and daughter in the kitchen! Hubby comes running in, I'll save the expletives, and screams, "OMG! I can't believe I left the hose hanging out of the tank with it still siphoning off!". I try... TRY, so hard not to laugh. It's seriously comical.
What happened? Well, apparently, Em grabbed the hose where hubby had connected the two and opened it. LOL.
Good thing we have laminate flooring.
