That story is incredible! It is so rediculous that they would make such a big deal over a fish. I am so glad that the girl was able to get him home safely. I don't know what I would do if they told me I couldn't take one of my betta kids and that I had to flush him

Let me just say..... "Betta fish, research has shown, are the only aquatic animals that can recognize their owner" is totally not true. I know for a fact that my puffers can tell me apart from the rest of my family

But, what a riddiculous story. Really, a fish isn't going to hurt anyone.

It might be that you need to publish something. The key in that statement is "research has shown." This statement shows that it is not a fact or even strongly supported (my mollies and gourami know me from my fiance).

Goodness if an airport official ever did something like that to me, I would personally shove them down the toilet. I am so fed up with stupid airports (resists urge to go on my latest rant)....I mean really, a fish!! Like that's gonna hurt someone! Like once my mum got a tiny baby fork confiscated. What's she gonna do with that, stab the pilots' eyes out or something? Really!
