Funny Story...
So yesterday I get home from visiting my Mom and brother in Kentucky. I immediately took to taking care of our zoo. All my fish looked great and then I hear the scared voice of my fiance telling me she cant find our baby hamsters. We have a pair of Siberian Dwarfs that are male and female, so naturally we have some babies. Well all but one were missing from the cage. They apparenly got just big enough to crawl out of the pan and through the bars. The first pair we found huddled up behind a pillow right behind thier mom's cage. Then it was a scramble to find the remaining two. We were pulling appart couches, lifting furnature and looking high and low. I found several "camps" where they obviously spent some time over the past few days (lots of little droppings). Finally I went into the bedroom and found the last two under some decorative pillows on the floor. They were fast as lightning but we managed to catch them and get them in my water changing bucket. We decided to take the other baby out of the cage and discovered that mom hand ANOTHER litter!!! Seriously, we have dwarf hamsters coming out of our ears now. Anyone want a pair (two boys, or two girls) in the cincy area lol?
