Aquarium dropped & broke

A few days ago, I visited an aquarium store somewhere near my house and was choosing what fish to buy. Then, I saw a man staring at a beautiful betta in the shelf in a small 10g tank i think. The man chose the fish and decided to buy the tank AND the betta.

He carried the tank with his own two hands (the tank had no handle, it was only a glass tank with no cover), lifted it from the shelf and his hands slipped and he dropped the tank with the betta in it! AHH!! HE DROPPED THE WHOLE TANK!

When I heard the loud crash, i felt like there was an earthquake happening! The tank broke into pieces and the water was everywhere on the floor. The betta was jumping everywhere, the man tried using his hand to grab the betta but always missed. I was shocked and couldn't do anything. The shopkeeper then rushed and caught the betta with a net.

(sorry if it's a long story)

The man's hand was bleeding because of trying to catch the betta, he got his hands cut by the glass. The man still had to pay for the tank and the betta. The betta was OK and still healthy (THANK GOD!). I then bought the fish i needed and went home.

I don't know whether it's funny but it was kinda dumb for the man to carry the tank by himself.

I guess he underestimated the weight of a 10g tank.

Even if you can lift one, the water gets to sloshing like crazy before you can hardly get going.

Oh my gosh that is terrible! I am glad the betta is okay. I don't know why he thought he would just pick the tank up himself! Poor guy.

She ran out of my house that day and came back looking sick. At that time, I wasn't at home. My mom saw her so sick, she knew she was already poisoned. So she gave her water to drink and then went out to send my little sister for ballet. Then came back an hour later and found her motionless in my small garden...

Thanks for your wishes Mollie and Hatchet! It really means a lot.

Yesterday, my family made a conclusion on how she died. You can read it on my signature. Thanks!

I wouldn't try and lift my full 10g, the pressure of the water slashing around, and if it's not held perfectly, excess stress could be put on the interior walls of the tank.

I don't need 10g of water on the floor!
