My 18 month old son just made some "tea". He watches his mom make tea every day, and she covers the cup with a small saucer so it doesn't evaporate while it steeps. He had a cup of water, and a bowl of chex cereal. He added the chex to the cup of water, covered it with the bowl and said "hot tea dad". He then proceeded to have a small sip. Of course, we applauded his creativity and encouraged this sort of ingenuity and replication.
The funny part came when he added some banana slices, and again, covered the cup and said "hot tea dad!" He tried it, and said "ah!". Then, he said "want some dad?" and offered me the cup. Unfortunately, I HAD to do try it, or else he would be insulted and disappointed. I was hesitant, and laughing very hard, because he kept telling me "bananas in there". Of course, I had to insist mom tried some too.

He kept drinking it, insisting it was delicious.
Anyway, you parents should be able to imagine the elation and hilarity in this situations, and I absolutely had to share it with everyone.
