hungry bristlenose

I just checked my tank and saw something I just had to share. My one albino bristlenose (curly) loves to dig a hole in the sand under the cucumber and she will spend hours upsidedown there only poping up to eat it well it seems she has had a better idea on how to eat and not be disterbed.....

How cute is that? She can lay right there and take a nap and then just wake and start eating.

some species of BN both male and female will have bristles. Male will have bristles as Aldrics male and the female will have a thin line across the upper lip but not all over the snout and up between the eyes

just wondering, can the bristles hurt you, are they hard, and what do the plecs use them for.

The bristles in the end of the nose are very soft and collapse out of water. They are used as sensory organs.
