My Peace in the Mornings

This video was taken when everyone was asleep. I had just fed the fish. It's my favorite part of the day before the "house" wakes up. No lights are on except for the fish tanks. It's a great relaxing way to start a day.

I'm trying to catch the "peacefullness" on video.

Psst....me too

Now if my bipolar bum can quit coming up with new aquascaping ideas, I'll be good! Got new ideas for three (current) tanks now. All of the black susbtrate is getting on my nerves.

I did just change it. Apparently, I'm just never happy

I don't like the 29 gallon black gravel. I want to change it to dark blue.

I like the green gravel in the 55 JD/Con/RTS tank so much, I want to use it in the 55 convict/jellybean con tank.

I don't like the black gravel in the 55 tropical community tank, so I'm either going to spruce it up with a bunch of multi-colored gravel or change it to the blue in Karma's tank. Sprucing it up with a bunch of multi-colored gravel would probably be better for the stress level of the fish, so that's what I'll probably do. I need more gravel in there anyways because I'm adding more plastic plants for the platy fry to hide so I quit taking the females out every time I think they're pregnant.

I wish you could scape it for me! You've got a creative eye for sure

i'll draw some stuff and send it to you lol
sounds great! as long as you dont do bright colors like orange, yellow or lime green, it stresses out the bottom dwellers...

What if it's mixed with the black gravel? I posted a pic of the multi-colors in another tank that I was going to buy. I was going to add 5 pounds. If it's a bad idea, I can always get more green like the JD/con tank or blue like Karma's new tank. I've attached pics of those as well. Please let me know what you think is best and what would look the best. I love my corys and I don't want them stressed out.

it doesnt strees them out that much... just picture it like this:
YOu move into a new room that is painted lime green! or Neon orange...
i really like both of the top ones. You could mix the black with a blue, or green... or you could add white..
that would really make contrast
IMO light colored fish ( like pink cons) stand out in really dark colors...

Sweet! Whichever I see at the store tomorrow first, I'll use, either the green or the blue.

I have two bags of white gravel, but we've got white in the African Cichlid tank, so I definitely want the green or the blue.

Thank you!

youre welcome

i will draw up a couple rock scapes of what you could do. I used regular rocks that i found outside, it tooka an immense amount of scrubbing and boiling to get all the dirt particles from the rock off. Its worth it though

ok sorry for double posting:
I have spent my evening drawing this
Click the image to open in full size.
Whenever you are going to place heavy rocks, you want to add a piece of fabric. Its not normal fabric, they sell it at FS i think. Its used for aquascaping so its kinda popular. I have yet to try picture 5 and 8. They are my favorite. For 8, i have a cheat cheat
At home depot, they sell these fake plastic rocks that you use for lanscaping( hiding pond pumps etc.) you can cut it in half and use both of the plastic rocks on the very back of the tank, they looks so real but they are plastic

if you have any questions pm me
