Nice tank. I've got a 26 long (artificial plants) and have always wanted to have all planted tank. I've got similiar gravel to your tank...Do you have anything under the gravel (ie flourite) I don't really want to add anything under my gravel. I do need to upgrade the lighting... I only have one light strip but my hood would fit another strip.
Thank you all for the nice comments and salutations. I'll try more vids soon.
hssea: nothing but gravel, about 30 lbs., but I am running an UGF as this was a pre- fishlorean tank, the roots I'm sure are engraphed throughout the filter tray by now, some even coming up the lift tube...lol All in all weekly maintainance, 10-20% w/c, and root tabs every 3-4 weeks and they do great w/ my two strips = 40wts on 2 different timers, so they overlap and alternate for the 10 hours there on. give them a try, if you can't get another strip then stay with low light easy care javas, anubias, crypts, and mosses, but do make sure you get true aquatics so research the scientific names and specs, to make sure thats what your spending your money on, beware of mislabels and misleading labels.
Thanks again, and Have Fun its beautiful here in springy MN!!!!

That was a great movie!! How do keep the plants healthy?
thanks, just w/c 10-20% every 7-10 days, plant tabs every 3-4 weeks, and lighting with timers 10 hours split btwn 2 bulbs and overlapped for I think 4 hours... it seems to be working now and the algae is going back down, yea.
I just love when we get some videos of member's tanks that really allow us to enjoy them. Here is my 2nd attempt at videography, I had a few hours as we just got dumped on with 11" snow in the last 30hrs.
It is my 10g office tank, check my aquarium details if you want. I recently added some Pseudomugil Furcatus. The shrimp just want to be in the forefront.
It is a long one (11 min), so sit back and enjoy my view to the left as I sit at the desk...
Very nice video, thanks for sharing. Interesting fish and active too! What are the little "dots" they are chasing? I made a movie with 'Movie Maker' too. Very time consuming but fun to do.

These buggers have been chasing everything floating in the tank, tasting, etc. I had put a few bloodworms in there as I shot the video.
