just a recommendation:
you aren't supposed to put shells in with
freshwater fish. i have a story, if you want to hear it:
mr.freda, a middleschool computer teacher, had a seashell in with his freshwater fish. one day, his white, black speckled catfish dissappeared. mr.freda literally took the tank apart, excepting the water. he searched the gravel, plants and other decor. (i can't remember how long it was, but,): mr.freda had guests over(i think) and he remembers a possibility: what if the catfish is in the shell? he removes the shell from the tank and shakes it into the tub. he hears something banging around. then, finally, the once white catfish comes out and bangs into the tub. he is purple from not having enough oxygen. i'm not saying this will definetly happen to your fish, catfish or invertabrates (if you have them), but a curious fish might just get stuck in there.
