Update - Iridescent Sharks

I have them for a year now!!! They have grown, but not that much so I'll be ok with my 125 gallons for a while!!!

But I have plan to built a mega interior pond for them one day!

I love ID sharks, I just wish they stayed the 6 inches that the local Petsmart says they grow to.

I wouldn't keep them with goldies, I'd be a little wary.

Nice fish and video. I have always wanted to have a couple of IS's, but I have never owned a tank big enough for them. I am with TFA101, I wish they stayed 6" .

ID shraks are tropical fish, not coldwater fish. But it still is a great vid. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks y'all!!

The Iridescent sharks prefer the water temperature between 22 to 28 degree celcius.

goldfish or red fish like cold water, but 22-24 is perfect for both world!!!

Don't worry, I have them for a year now, and they're top shape goldie and have grown like crazies!!!!!

This is like cats and dogs!! They're are not supposed to love each other , like my fish, but they do....don't try this at home...ahahah just joking!!! I guess I took a big guess to put them together but it work well for me!! So a bit off topic, but look at them....

I'd be worried about the other fish. I had 2 Paroon sharks some years ago, Looks very much like the ID shark. And those paroon ate fish almost their own size, and tried to eat fish their own size, killing them but not being able to swallow them.

However the paroon shark is highly aggressive and active.

Iridescent sharks are very peaceful and calm.

They're look-a-like, but very different in attitude.

But I will have to remove those goldie sooner or later, I know!

But I am thinking about getting 4 more of this Id Sharks...they are in sale!
4 for 20$....can you believe that!!! Sad to see that petstore don't care really about those monster catfish.

ID sharks are just big ol catfish, aren't they? I wouldn't think there'd be a problem as long as the goldies are fast enough to eat their food (at least they'll be okay for a long time) ....right?
