Meet the Fishies.

Inspired by all the other lovely videos, i decided to give you all a little video tour of our freshwater community, and an introduction to the characters that live there.

Looks nice... By the way, those plants aren't real aquarium plants... You can see what they are here: http://www.plantgeek.net/plant-276.htm

Also, if you still have either algae eaters, you will need to be very careful, since when they get bigger they can harrass your other fish... and they won't eat the algae... also they grow 11 inches...
They are Chinese Algae Eaters, duh duh duh...

Thanks for the tips! I am aware that those algae eaters can grow up to 11 inches, but as of now they seem to be doing really well in our tank, and haven't been harassing other fish, but I will keep an eye on them.

I just removed those plants from our aquarium. Perhaps that's what killed Spot. That kind of Petsmart Faux Pas irks me. Why sell something as an aquarium plant that isn't

as my fiance said above, the algae eaters are doing quite well. They were one of those "Oh honey let's get one of THOSE" fish noob impulse buys. At the time we didn't know anything about them, not even their potential length. We quickly learned that they are rather territorial as the larger one would always chase the Gold one around and out of our little cave. We got another cave-like dwelling specifically for the other algae eater. It seemed to work pretty well. When Mr. Snail was in the large tank, Freddy (large algae eater) would always suck on his shell and keep him clean, it was really cute to watch. And Mr. Snail was the only other member of the aquarium that was allowed in Freddy's cave.
