Ok this is the point: As I write this lines, the Harlequin Rasboras are behaving as usual, and swimming all around the mid-top part of the tank. They don't avoid that heavy current spot at all.
The Panda Corycats -which seem to be in mating season at the moment- when introduced to the tank, used to swim in zig-zag-like up-and-down-stream patterns. The Harlequin Rasboras, that has been living in the tank by themselves for a week or two and never displayed such behavior, began acting like this and I captured the moment.
I don't know if they behave like that usually, this is my first time with such fish. I am carefully tampering water parameters, slowly bringing down water hardness and alkalinity, aiming at pH 6.8 and KH 3dH; by filtering through peat since this is the Angelfish tank.
Their odd swimming is better appreciated towards the mid part of the video.
I'm not good with pics and vids, but I might get better with practice...
