He is such a beauty I would love to have fancy guppies in one of my tanks. The problem is making room, lol. I love his tail!!!
yep, they're a fun, easy little tank (15gal) no fuss, no muss.
that used to be one of our hospital tanks, but it was EMPTY and we wanted to keep it cycled and i saw Picasso and had to have him. he's not like anything ive ever seen before.

on my guppy, keep in mind, this pretty little guy is like 3/4 of an inch big and that tail is like 1/2" tall and growing!!! he's gotta really swim hard to pull that thing around. lol.

Where did you find little picasso? Did you order him from a breeder?
I don't think it was from a breeder from the looks of it. Most breeders breed moscows and other pure strains like that. Though I must admit that it is a beautiful fish with really nice form/shape.

I got Picasso, from a LFS, All About Fish, here in Long beach.
The "Neighbor", is a long funny story. Its basically my husband (hockeyref88 on here)....LOL.
the betta enablers around here were trying to convince him to get a betta and he kept resisting. then he asked "hypothetically" if he got one for his "neighbor" what would he need. turns out I was the "neighbor" to whom he referred.
well...and the rest is MTS history....6 bettas later, 11 aquariums later....
you should try and breed and sell the fry - hopefully they'll grow into similar looking fish!

i had 2 females and 5 males. the little female died right away (maybe they chased her to death) and the other female is not looking so good.
the other day she had a little something hanging out her tummy and we thought well maybe....so i isolated her in case fry were coming...but nothing.
she's sooooo tiny, i can't imagine she could have babies.
but picasso has good genes for sure, the design on his tail is super unique.
If she gets 5 girls she will have fry out the ying yang! My kids had guppies growing up and we had so many babies it was unreal .. I used to take them and trade them in at the LFS for supplies...It was actually kind of fun! That boy would be very worth breeding....

i think i have 4-5 males right now. can't i just add 4-5 more females? then i could put Picasso in a little divider with a few gals and let him go to town?

Officially the damage today from the MTS enablers on FL total 2 more tanks I must have: Kate's fault I will have to get another betta tank for a Cambodian, and Minx's fault I will have to get a guppy tank.
My boyfriend is going to have me locked up for sure!
Do you only keep him with guppies, or is there other stuff in there with them too? *plots*
