DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS AT HOMEbut I do have the weirdest community tank...unfortunately, my MTS has come to a short end as ive ran out of money, and I also have a pair of convicts & their fry that will not tolerate ANY fish in with them...so they kinda made my new community tank for me!!!! (well its not new, but a few months old)
heres a vid at feeding time...although rafikki, (my flying betta) has already been hand fed his food prior, he sneaks now and then ...everyone gets along and everyone eats together.....I know this tank is totally against the rules of keeping fish, but for now, I have no choice...anyone spending there extra income tax return on fish things?? I KNOW I AM!!

That is the strangest combo of fish!! I saw pictus catfish ( I think), the sunset dwarf, angelfish, honey gourami, the betta, red tailed shark, molly, then there was another shark of some sort, and the little black and white thing that I couldnt tell! What gallon tank is that?

The "little black & white thing" I think you're refering to is a beautiful little SAE Shawnie didn't bother to mention...
lol! Sometimes we do what we have to do. If its working for you for the time being then awesome! Check out craigslist for a cheap tank if you start to have problems
LOL totally weird...its a 55 gallon...which wasnt over stocked until I had a set of convict fry born...yes u saw a pictus...lil blk n white thing im thinking is the siamese algae maybe?
No the white and black thing would be the SAE, the shark is what you see at the 26 second mark. There was also a white round fish, but I didnt know that eather.
the white I think is my crappy camera..its a lite blue dwarf gourami although I think its a she..cause she is turning almost whities and not so much lite blue anymore...and maybe the bala is what you see?
The bala shark is at 26 second....Shawnie, we all get in a fix from time to time.....I bet there is a lovely 75 + gallon tank with your name on it somewhere,......just waiting for you. Some one will move and not be able to take it. Just be patient...
mr bala is a rescue in need of a home....but hes still so small that im being picky ....hes a great fish tho...im being patient...either my extra income tax or someone moving would be appreciated LOL ...my entire life its nusto so is my "community" tank

great vid... I love the pictus catfish, i would like to add those to my tank someday. Its hard to believe that your betta and gouramis are getting along! WOW! glad that it is all working out!
ps. Ive spent 24.00 on two BN Plecos yesterday, and will get some sponge filters for my betta tanks with that tax rebate. Im taking at least 100 out of it for fishy things and spend the rest on bills!
Gm Kate...its hard to believe that also! ..its deffinately going against the rules...I figure I pay bills ALLLLLLLLLLLLL year long...although I am buying my daughter a laptop for graduation, the rest I wanna use on my aquatic kids ! of course what I want and what I get to do are always two different things!
yes my betta gets along with everyone..its a funky tank for sure..weirdest community tank...hence why i titled it NOT to try ...everyone still does fine..the hardest thing is tryin to hand feed the betta before so he's full when I have to feed the others..so I have been zipping him in a breeder box just during feeding time..its like he thinks hey, to the house to eat LOL
allie..thats cool..my betta is a boy tho ..and he does fine in the tank..I think because I have so many different rescues, that they all think they are one LOL
hes a happy healthy bala...for now...my LFS isnt even good enough for him/her...but ill have to do something before he/she grows up...or id be no better than where he came from (a tiny fish bowl)
