I wouldnt think that amount of stress is good..is it?? is that normal for this type of fish?

Hi Shawnie,

Nah they rarely fight. When they do, mostly they just show off their fins. I would not really call it a fight. When I first witness it, I thought they were dancing. Most times the Mollies just chase each other around. They are the most active fishes in my tank.

When I had my video cam on, they happened to be doing it. I edited the video and put it together. Maybe I should have given it a different title.

Every time I hold a video cam in front of the tank, I hope to capture them perform something out of the ordinary but they mostly just swim & eat. Still, they make me happy and I enjoy video-ing them when I can.

I don't think that they are fighting. If one ever grab the others lip and doesn't let go, THEN they are fighting.

Thanks. I call the 2 orange ones THE TWINS. They look almost the same. 1 is slightly smaller than the other.

I just witness 1 bolivian buttefly grab the lip of another bolivian butterfly!

I had to come tell you that I just witness it!

At first I thought they were kissing coz they have been getting along.
But I realized that they were not smooching lovingly and I was reminded of this thread.
Then it happened again and I knew they were fighting.

This is typical livebearer male sparing.
Lot easier to see in these large fish versus say, endlers.
I would have used the word sparing, instead of fight.

I thought I had 1 male and 1 female....looks like the LFS gave me the wrong gender.
