You all know that I am planning to build in some larger tanks, but my question is, how large should I make them?

The space available would allow me to go as big as 96wx24dx18h with a volume of 150 imperial gallons. I can get tanks made to my specifications with no problem, but do I need one large tank, or two smaller ones.

The sort of fish I am looking for prompts this question. Clown Loaches and balas will need larger tanks than I have now within a year, but maintenance of one large tank will give me some headaches, as I have never had tanks this big before.

Any thoughts folks?

If you have larger tanks, a python is the way to go. I have a 100 gal and a 50 gal. to clean every week, and would not still have them if I didn't have my python. They even have pythons for cleaning ponds!

I am looking at ways to manage water changes, but is the Python available in the UK? So far, it all looks state-side! Also, what sort of filtration would a tank of 150 galls need?
