co2 equipment

What is the best bang for your buck co2 system? I have gone through DIY co2 and I don't think it's too consistent with giving the right co2 levels for optimal plant growth. I have read of gla's, azoo, milwaukee, and others... Just I want to make sure I spend the right money on the perfect system. My tank is a 10g 3.6 WPG.

This is the unit that I have just bought but found the reactor leaves a bit to be desired. I replaced the reactor with a large diy unit.

It's not bad value I guess but I can't really compare it to any others as this is the first injection unit that I have ever owned. I find my results are just as good using my diy co2 rig which uses 5lt bottles & diffusion via the filters. I can give you the details of my diy system if you want them. It keeps me at 20ppm co2 in a 4x1.5x1.5ft tank & is very cheap to run.

I just purchased regulators from Rex Grigg (should get them at the end of this month). I did a lot of searching and I believe these units are the best out there.

Please visit his site: http://rexgrigg.com/

Locally I found aluminum 20lbs tanks for CO2. I will use DIY bubble counters and reactors (I find my actual models to perform great with DIY CO2, no reason they won't deliver with pressurized). I will use simple timer controlled lights-off/airpump-on lights-on/airpump-off to prevent pH crash. I see no real need for pH controllers at the moment.

Nice, I saw his website too and he builds great regulators and also explains how to build one.

I decided to purchase a Victor VTS 253A - 1993 and make my own custom. Since it's chrome not gold plated, I need to purchase S.S. fittings hopefully from swagelok and maybe purchase a paintball tank adapter since my tanks only 10g. Thanks for the tip Pepe
