Hello ILikeFish. Assuming you're asking about filtration? High praises for Aqua Clears here! Too, don't forget to check the "reviews" section of the forum for more information.

I like Aquaclear myself and own an Aquaclear 50. Mine has been going strong for 6 months. It is the only filter I run on my 29 gallon molly/swordtail tank and the water has always been clear. It has always been very quiet. It also is easy to change and customize the filter media.

This question has come up quite a few times in the past.
The general response is Aquaclear, though there are plenty of Whisper filter users, as well. I am only just starting to have problems with any of my Whisper filters, and most of them are hand-me-downs that I got with garage-sale tanks, so I would very strongly recommend them.
With the support that Aquaclear filters have from some very experienced forum members, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, either.

I run both and while I fully support Aqua clears for they're ease of "tinkering" with filter media that is pretty much my only complaint about the Tetra's... I dislike cartriges. But other then that I'm never had filter trouble.

Morning Ilikefish. Yes. Either of these filters would be good. I failed to mention that I've used the same Whisper 5 (500gph old model) for 10 years. I just recently removed it because it was starting to get a bit loud but it was still filtering. I'll keep it as a spare.

I use Whispers on all of my tanks - I really like them as they have never given me any trouble.

Aquaclear, no question about it. I've got 9 ACs running, and 6 tetras in my extra filter box.

I like the old Tetra power filters (don't have any experience with the new EX series).

That said, AquaClears are my favorite HOB filters.
