I think my 36 gallon tank is in a mini cycle ?

Hi everyone , Okay here the problem yestarday my 36 gallon tank got cloudy on me again , and yes the tank went through the cycle process . my ammonia is 0-0.25 and my nitrite is 0 but my nitrate is 20and my pH is 6.4 and I use the API test master kit exp 2011 one of my platys had babys , four day ago, she had 11 fry babys and my other one had three baby three week ago. So here a list of my live stock in the tank

1 male betta that gets along with everybody
1 cory catfish that always looking for food
3 orange platys that are pigs at feeding time
14 fry platys ( in a breeder box)

1 small live plant( can`t remeber the plant name ) that had a snail on it
So does anybody think I am overstock? and can this be the cause of the mini cycle? and what should I do go back to doing 50 % water change daily? or should I ride it out ? Befor anybody ask I do gravel vac evertime I do water change once a week , just this week I did two water change 20 % last friday and yesterday I did 30% . and I did clean the filter media on friday with tank water in the pal that I always use for my fish tank only. I use tap water but I let it sit for three day before I use it and I do use prime with it just to be on the safe side. The guy at my LFS tell me NOT to do daily water change to keep my hand out the tank for a week . he also told me that I could of cause the mini cycle buy chaseing all the fry around and that was stressing out th adults fish . and I am sorry about the long post Just trying to get some help . Thanks for everyone time

I don't think you're over stocked yet. No way 14 fry are going to produce a lot of waste and take up a lot of room.
IMO, a few daily water changes should set you straight.
I don't see how trying to catch the fry would cause ammonia to go up.
What are you feeding the fry? Is it possible you're over feeding?

I don`t think that I am over feeding them. fry are eating crumble real fine small flakes almost like powder . and a baby snail is in there and he eats what ever they don`t once in the morning and once in the evening .and the guy at that the lfs told me to leave the lights off during the day that will help with the cloudness but if I turn off the light, yesterday my betta istarted to flare up at the platys and little chaseing going on but if I leave the lights on he okay with them only time I was able to turn off the light was during the evening hours . here some pictures of them

well this morning I checked the water again here the readings ammonia is 0 and the nitrite is 0 and the nitrate is 20 still high , so should I do a another 50 % water change today or not ? My water is still cloudy . And Molly is still hideing out (for the past three days), she comes out when she thinks she going to get food and then she goes back to hideing again
