Hi everybody.

i recently set up a 50g tank. I've posted its info in other thread.(sorry i couldn't post link to that thread )

after a initial thought of having planted tank i settled for a plain one because of the devotion and time it requires for the planted tank.

Now let's move to the point. I setup my tank with gravel filters heater and thermometer. It's in the process of cycling.

But, i couldn't find ammonia anywhere in Sydney. Back in my country i had brought from my chemistry lab once and chemical store once without a problem.

so, could you guys specially from Sydney tell me from where can i get pure ammonia ??

i tried by searching in this foroum and google as well but no luck. So anyone of u pls tell me where can i get ammonia from ?

I can't help with your search for ammonia, but if you have a peice of raw shrimp, you can out it in a mesh bag, hang it in your tank, it'll do the same thing......cycle your tank.

When i couldn't get Ammonia i was planing to do the same thing.

but instead of shrimp i was about to keep dead prawn.

and thank you i will give it a try.
