To Chill or not to Chill......

Hello,
Well a new question for everyone. I am currently treating ICH with raised temps and the other day we had our first nice weather of the year. It reached mid 80's by the end of the day. My heater is set to 84 and when I came home I found the temp had climbed to 87. I removed the lid and let it air and it slowly cooled back down over several hours. I am using a Corallife digital thermometer.
So I got to wondering about what it will be like when we hit summer time and the temps get up into the high 90's and even to 105 ish sometimes.
I will be running the temp at 82 once the ICH is gone as thats where Cardinal Tetras like it. (That is all that is in the tank) We have a window air conditioning unit that will cool the room sufficiently but we dont use it when we aren't home as it is very expensive to run. The room does get pretty warm even though there isn't much light or direct sun.
Should I be getting a chiller or will a fan cooling the water surface work. If a Chiller is in order does anyone have any they have used and like??
Thanks!
Nate

chillers can be pretty expensive, i'd at least try the fan first to see if it works before investing in one. i've never had to use one so i don't have any recommendations for you, but i'd look into the pricing and see if running the window unit might actually be less expensive
