Anyone who hasn't joined freecycle - DO IT.
I put an ad out for tanks & accesories. I just got back from picking up some goodies from a man down the road from me. His tank broke, so he had everything else left.
He gave me an Eclipse hood for a 20 gal. with filter cartridges for it.
A HUGE container of bloodworms & herbivore cichild flakes.
pH down, Cichlid buffer, NoveAqua+, and then he had some things I've never heard of: Tropical-Clear, Immune-Plus, and Cichlid-Gro.
There was also an air pump w/ tubing, and a liquid ammonia kit. Pretty good haul!
Too bad I don't have africans, the things I'm not sure about all say for African Cichlids.

yes I have to agree Freecycle is fab I have got 4 12-15gal tanks and accessories from it including a salty nano cube.

get out there it is amazing the things some people will give away. Mind you as they say here there is a lot of tat out there also

Search for Freecycle.org and look for one in your area. It's a yahoo group.
It's great for giving and receiving free stuff.

There's someone giving away a 75 gal. tank & oak stand, I hope to get that.
And a few 20 gal. that I'm interested in. My mom is having a heart attack. lol.
I'm setting them all up, they're going in the basement.....for now.

With a little silicone and a LHS cut glass panel replacement for that broken aquarium if its 50ga and below can easily be fixed.
