Last firday I was planning on starting up the retrofiting of my community tank for it to become a heavily planted tank. I was going to buy the stuff I needed in parts to spread the cost a bit.

Well, on my way home from work I totaled my car. I was able to just get my body out of the way of the collision so I am fine, but my car is done. I now have to buy a new one and no longer have much expendable income for the change. Really sucks, but it is a good time to buy.

(I might be buying a brand new Mazda for only about 15k after everything, cant hate that.)

I hit my head and skinned my scalp a bit, but nothing important was damaged ;P

If you hit your head you should defentally go for a check up. If you tore up somethign inside then its better to get it fixed before its too late.

Im fine, I play hockey and have been hit a lot harder on the ice than from this wreck.

The benefit is I already have a new car and its my first car with Air conditioning and all that, its an 09 mazda 3.

(I drove a 67 mustang, 83 F-150, and 96 Dodge Caravan before this, so Im hyped for the ammenities)

wowsers kywild! im so glad you are ok!!!!!!!!! thats nothing fun period but in this economy, you probably can get great deals on new cars....but not being injured, is much more than anything new you can do to your tanks.....I Hope everything works out ok!

It sounds like you pretty much know whats going on with your injuries, but I was in a skiing acident a few years back and got a whiplash. I thought I was fine and kept on skiing and stuff, but teh effects of whiplash don't show up for up to a week. I really wish I had gone to a doctor then, so that I could have rested and not still be going to physical, craniosecral and massage therapy three times a week.
Just woulnd't want this sort of thing to happen to any one else...

Im lucky in my genetics that I am a very big giuy in stature so I can take hits a little better than some. I was stopped by hitting my head on the door frame and the seatbelt held tight. The airbad did NOT deploy of which I am glad, I hate them.

As for the new car I love it. Its shiny and new, and smells like it too (lol). I am sad my aquarium hobby has been put on hold at least for the mean time. This dosent mean I wont be checking in here all the time.
