Help with decoration

I am not sure where to put this in the forum, so here goes.

I am setting up a 10g betta tank for my son. He is a big car freak, and I found a perfect decoration for him at Petsupermarket. It is a car that looks like it has sunken in the water almost like a shipwreck, but a car. It is big enough for a betta to swim through all of the holes, but I was concerned about the sharp edges of the cutouts. I have a large and small file, and I have filed most of the problem areas to a satisfactory smooth level. Now my question is this: Is there any kind of silicone filler that I can use to fill in some of the harder to reach places that the fins might get caught on? I have heard people talk about the silicon to attach things in their aquarium. Would that stuff work for this?

Thanks

absolutely, you can buy either silicone made specifically for aquariums which i know they sell at petsmart and all pet if those are near you, or you can also buy GE window and door silicone (i can't remember if you need I or II, but one of them has an anti-fungal chemical in it, you DONT want that one)

Thank you Alex! I really don't want the betta baby to rip his fins!

I will post pics next week when I get him.
