I hope it does not break

I have a 29 gallon aquarium with dimensions of 30 inches in length, 12 inches in width, and 18 inches in height. I also have a stand that was built for a 20 gallon tank. That dimensions of this stand are 23 inches in length and 10 iches in width. The stand is made out of cherry wood. My question is would the 29 gallon tank be able to be set on the stand or would the stand collapes or would the tank fall over.

I would be less concerned with the stand and more concerned with the tank itself.

If the bottom rim of the tank isn't supported evenly around the entire perimeter, stress points can be created which can weaken the glass and/or silicone.

i agree, with mathas, if the edges of the bottom of the tank aren't on the area that's supported then it can definitely lead to warping/cracking/etc
