I'm planning the setup of my 90 gal at this point, but I've never had a tank big enough to require a top brace before, so I have a quick question:

Over time will the light from the fluorescent lights compromise the structural integrity of the brace, since by necessity the lights will be positioned fairly close above the brace (say...2"?). The lights I'm planning to use are in a 48" strip. The canopy the lights are in is well ventilated, but I would assuming some heat would still be under the lights.

Um...like the bar that cuts across the middle of the tank on the top side to help support the open top.



like the black cross bar that connects the two side on the top middle of the pictured tank.
