ok i just bought a 125g tank and stand, gross filters and 2 bad looking heaters... anyways, what do you clean the inside of the tank with? its pretty cloudy looking and dirty. I assume that windex might not be a good choice...

Ya, don't use windex. You can use a diluted bleach mix of I think 1 part bleach to 10 parts water (may be more water but I'm sure you'll hear from someone) or you can use ammonia. Don't use the 2 together because it's poisonous. You could also use vinegar. Make sure you rinse the tank really well after using any of them and use extra water conditioner when filling the tank if using the bleach mix to get rid of the chlorine.

We've always used 5% bleach solution (19 cups water to 1 cup bleach). Then rinsed the tank with dechlorinated water atleast once, sometimes twice, before setting it back up.

yeah, the 20% bleach solution should work. That will disinfect anything that could be hazardous in there. I usually just spray it out with a water hose. I do not worry so much about the decholorinated water since I will leave it empty for quite awhile and treat it prime.

Congrats on the 125g by the way. I just got one myself. I'm currently redoing the stand to make it look better. I just hate white furniture.
