Set up my new oceanic tank, the background looks weird!

I know that all my other tanks are the acrlyic, and the cheaper brands w/ the thinner glass. The background on the oceanic tank that I bought looks like taking a background and putting it under a glass pop bottle.

Should I do anything different? I tried everything w/ the background on the back and the glass is just so thick w/ it and the water. I have been looking at 3-d backgrounds I wonder if that would look better? I would hate to buy a background that cost 50+ dollars and it look weird as well. I have plenty of time to "play" w/ the tank as it is cycling right now fishless.

I just hate having such a pretty tank (and an expensive one) and the decor look like crap.

I would get a solid background but I have one on my 36g and I don't like it.. w/ the african cihlids and the lack of ability not to pick at greenery and decor the tank imo would be boring. I had to put fake plants in the 36 to liven it up, and its a peacock cichlid tank, my mbuna would destroy my efforts. I guess thats the one downfall to having mbuna. I think I will look at the 3D backgrounds.
