Went to Elmer's used Equipment sale again, in hopes of finding a higher powered light than the 48w single tube I've had for years. Sadly they had no used fixtures at the 40% off level, but when I asked the cashier (whom recognized me from numerous pesterings with silly questions in the past,) she told me that she'll knock 10% off a new one since I was buying some used stuff as well.

Also got a used Fluval 305 with extra long hoses for 59.00. Now I can start the transition away from the UGF setup...

To make matters better, using their frequent customer card, I get 3% of the past 6 month's purchases back in January as a store credit. Today put me up past the $15.00 mark. Free plants next month!

Just had to hand out a Bravo Zulu (Navy speak for job well done) to the customer support crew, Dave in particular at Hagen's USA support center. I emailed them yesterday explaining that I bought a used filter of their's, but got no paperwork or the DVD with it, just the filter itself. I printed the manual out online, but inquired about the cost of the DVD. I came home today to a reply the DVD will be in the mail and on my doorstep by weeks end, gratis. Thanks Dave!
