I have a 2.5 gallon allglass tank (12 x 8.5 x 6d) that I currently use for a QT. I do run a filter on it and on occasion an airstone.

I have been all over the internet looking for a hood/light. I found the striplight in various places and a solid glass top (without a hole for a filter or any other tank equipment) but no hood/combo or equiv.

I would think with the popularity of these small little desktop/nano tanks that manufactures would make more products to suit the size.

Does anyone know where I can get, or if they even make, a hood for this tank? I tried all the usual... DFS, PetSmart, Petco, Pet Solutions, Big Als... ?

Otherwise, I think I may have to 86 this tank, and go to the 5.5 gallon.

I saw just a 2.5 gallon set with the hood and everything at PetSmart, but you could check their website and order there if you can't find in the stores.

hmm.. i don't think i've seen that, just the same glass tops and striplight. we have the azoo palm filter on one end of the tanks and use submersible heaters.

I have access to .108" and .23" Clear acrylic, I can make an all clear top for you rather cheaply if you can take care of the lighting... All I would have to do is find the hinging. I know it's out there, just never looked for it yet.

Im going to see what I can dig up. I found a top called a Versa-Top that is hinged in the middle to fit the 2.5g... but again, each piece is seperate, so Im going to see if the strip light will work with that top. If not, Ill post back.
