am i being impatient?

yesterday bout 24 hrs ago i out 25kg of crushed coal gravelk into my aqaurium as im setting up ama malawi tank and left it to settle i washed it for about 2 hrs before too!!
on advice i decided not to run my new filter anmd to wait for the sand to settle but its no clearer after 24 hours help!!

Hello Queenbobby. I've never used sand or crushed coral in my tanks but I know many others have. I'm sure you'll get some responses soon. If the sand has settled, which after 24 hours I would think it has...you may need to run the filter now in order for the tank to clear. Let's get some more responses first before you turn it on.

I've never used sand, but I do use crushed coral. It usually takes my tanks 2-3 days to clear out, even after rinsing the crushed coral thoroughly, like you have.

Hang in there, it will clear up. If the sand is an issue with the cloudiness, another member should be along shortly to help you with that

You can run your filter if the sand has been in there for 24 hrs. You will need it for the water to clear. I just switched 2 tanks over to sand. It can take 3-4 days to completely clear.
