How much weight can a 55g hold?

I have been collecting rocks from my beach to use in my tank. I boil them so I no they are clean. I am just wondering if weight is an issue?

55 gal is 208.18 litres

So its meant to hold 200kg of water. So I dont think weight is going to be much of a factor.

Hi there Denman I am not sure about weight but I have close too 180lbs in my 75gal with 70lbs lavarock 80lbs gravel and all the other little things... Then the water at about 8lbs a gal=600lbs so all said and done I weigh in around close too 900lbs....So sorry for getting off topic but I think you can use about 60-70lbs of your beach stones safely IMO....Hope this helped Rob

It usually depends on how well the tank was made, what it was made of and if you place them in the right spots to balance the weight out. Your tank already holds like over 500 pounds of water so i doubt a few rocks could really damage anything
