New to FW Which Sand

Hello all,

I have a 30 gal SW tank and am setting up a 125 gal FW and I want to use sand as a substrate in the 125.

Which sand can I use? Can I use Quickrete sand from Home Depot or the Play sand they have?

play sand seems to be pretty popular, along with pool filter sand. i hear pool filter sand does not require any rinsing. though i've never used either.

I just set my 55 up with the quickcrete play sand and absolutely love it! It looks great, the fish love it and it's very inexpensive. My fish guy told me to use one pound per gallon. I'm about 5 pounds short but it looks amazing!
