Great Sand Substitute

3M COLOR QUARTZ AGGREGATE this stuff is great and economical @ 30.00/50lb. it doesnt syphon and easily cleans while never fading or bleeding into your water. also has a 3yr warranty my tank isnt done but here is a shot of it with it inside.

I found a bag of "quartz filter media". Big, 50lb bag. Probably what you have. Mixed with sand and pea sized gravel, it looks nice

thanks but i think you have something different. mine is just quartz w/ a ceramiic coating and no sand or gravel mixed in. where did you get it ?

Thanks DISCIPLE for the PM. Some of the really pretty sand can be gotten in the UK but not here. Thats why I asked where you were . hagen has a really pretty aquarium sand, comes in black and brown but we can't get it here
