Shark for a 10 Gallon Tank?

Are there any shark like fish that would be ok in a 10 gallon aquarium?
It's not stocked yet.

Sorry... I dont think there is any type of shark that can or should be kept in a 10g tank.

I agree with capeKate. Sharks can be very territorial and need a lot of room to swim. I don't think they would survive for long in a 10 gallon.

Nope, sorry. They are very terratorial, and grow upwards of six inches sometimes.
There are quite a few nice fish that could go in a ten gallon though

you could get danios, they are in the same family as sharks and just as pretty, maybe more and they are cheap, very hardy and usually don't get past 2 inches.

Until yesterday, I had a rainbow shark and 3 tiger barbs in a 10 gallon tank. The rainbow shark lived in the tank for about a year and a half and got to be about 5 inches long. The shark could be semi-aggressive, but the barbs were faster than him and could escape unharmed. I hope this helps!

Hi jshockley1 Welcome to Fish Lore
Please check the dates on threads before replying. This one is almost 2 months old. I'm sure the OP has already made their decision based on advice from the above posters.
Rainbow sharks get much to big to be kept in a 10g tank.
IMO, it's very unfair to keep a 5" fish in 10gs. Best to stick to their recommended tank size.

If you keep nothing but a red tail shark in a properly maintained 10 gallon tank IMHO that is OK. It has a ten gallon minimum according to fishlore http://www.fishlore.com/Profiles-RedTailShark.htm
