Hi guys,
I went to the LFS with my hubby, he fell in love with this shark looking thing, it was at least 45cm big, the guy at the shop said it was a hifin shark, anyone know what that is or what their water specifications are? He was quite majestic though!

I also noticed he had a latin name, as soon as i get hold of it ill post it, i think a hifin shark is just a general term. Ill keep you posted though.

I believe it's a chinese high fin banded shark, gets rather large easily over a foot, google the name and you should come up with lot's of good reading.

Yeah thats the point, my husband insisted on a 300g tank, he wants big and odd fish! typical. hehe, need something to fill the tank, i think if i had little fish in there id see them and wave goodbye after they leave their plastic bags! And ill definitely only be getting one of them, messy fish apparently.

Well, if you want big fish in your tank, & you'd like a shark, get a Black Shark, & a Blue Shark, maybe some silver's/Bala's.

Then a couple of big cichlids, or give the tank to me lol

hey, my tanks been running for a while, i decided on 2 Oscars, 4 Silver dollars, 1 Common Pleco, and a Hifin Pangasius shark, hes already 6" big.

Thats not him though, hes a hifin pangasius, hes on the top left and you can see his reflection on the right. Hes very fast and doesnt "swim" still to take a decent photo.

I havent got a full pic on my computer with all the fish in, ill post it tomorrow morning, must just remember to take my cameral to work.

My shark isnt agressive at all, i think he hardly notices that hes got tankmates, I think hes practially blind.

No thats astrodam, hes 16" captain cook is behind him in all the photos. he seems to hide behind him alot!
