oh thanks i'll try that when i get a new crayfish he died just out of no reason. I don't know why he died he had plenty of food (earthworms). And i woke up one morning and he was dead so i need to get another one. But thank you for the advice.

If this was truly a pond/river crayfish, and not one bred for aquaria, it may have had a disease. If the earthworms were from outside, they may have had pesticides, chemicals, heavy metals or who knows what in them.

Also, in a small tank, it may have died due to water conditions. Did you test the water before/after it died?

Yes i tested the water and quarantined the cray fish in a separate tank for about a week. I don't know what happened, but the Oscar had some chunks missing out of him so i put him in my hospital tank. he was almost dead but then he got way better.... the next day that he was better he died?.... so i decided not to get another Oscar or crayfish for awhile
