My three yabbies, with my fish

Yesterday i introduced 3 yabbies/crawfish/blue lobsters to my community tank. They haven't eaten or even attacked any of my fish. I have kuhlies, corys, a small clown loach, small algae eaters, guppies and even angelfish and they are all unharmed. There are a lot of plants and hiding places, they love it. They were from the wild and the are about 2 or 3 inches.

well just letting people know they can live in peace, i hope all stays as peaceful as it is right now.

and also remember, putting something in your home aquarium from the wild, is setting some bacteria being introduced to the tank that your fish arent use too...keep an eye on things as josmoloco says because in time, they will eat whatever they can catch sleeping or slow fish ...goodluck!

I think they're gorgeous, but I would be very concerned for your fish. Some one is likely to get eaten.
I echo Shawnie's concern about them being from the wild.
Wild things should stay there, just as we shouldn't release our aquarium critters to the wild.

oh, i forgot to mention that i got them from the wild and kept them in a separate tank for about 6 weeks, cleaning their water and such. also, where they come from there are no fish at all because the water level goes up and down, not great for fish.

i feed them regularly so they don't go after fish. my big blue one had a chase at my angel last week, only a warning a shot. all three of them have their own cave and if anything goes near their cave they will chase them away.

i've seen them on you tube and they were attacking fish twice their size. why are mine so peaceful?

well all is well with them. they've grown about an inch or two.

oh i forgot to menstion that they ge ta bit angry if they are not fed. they will go out chasing fish, but they have not grabbed any one. i through in a piece of beef heart (cut into 4 pieces) ever day or two. i just fed them now.

they smell the beef heart from a meter away. the fish love the beef heart as well. but whenever i through in beef heart i feed the fish less than half the amount of flakes they usually get so there's no over feeding. every one has a go at the beef.
