a few questions on shrimp

here's a few questions on shrimp that i need answered.

what would be the best type of freshwater shrimp to keep?
i heard the algae and the ghost shrimp are pretty good.

how much would a single ghost shrimp cost? (AUS $)

how much would a single algae shrimp cost? (AUS $)

can yabbies live in a community tank?
in the community there are things as small as guppies, kuhlies, corys, mollies, small bn-pleco etc. 55 gallons

will a pictus and/or tandanus (7-8 cm) eat algae/ghost shrimp?

thanks for all answers

ghost shrimp are pretty neat, around here i got about 8 of them for US $1.25. not sure if the other fish would eat them but it's definitely possible depending on how large they are

My invert/fry tank has several ghost shrimp, and a single Bamboo shrimp as a centerpiece. The maintenance requirement on the tanks is low to say the least even with the fry. I also have 2 freshwater clams along with mystery snails so that may be part of it though.

Ghost shrimp are cheap - if you can find them locally, they're usually less than $0.50 a piece, and you can usually get some sort of quantity discount.

Algae/amanos are more expensive - about $3-$4 each. Those are all US dollars, btw. I think the exchange to Aussie is like x1.5?
