I was in petsmart the other day and saw that they're carrying a "Red Crab" now. I'm thinking that there's something a bit off or I read the numbers wrong b/c they said they grow to 6" and that you cold keep them in a 1 gal container ...
Would someone mind clearing this up for me please?

Well, crabs eat detritis,and are fairly clean and have very small bio-loads,but 1 gallon would be small for about anything I can think of,especially a 6 in full grown crab. I would have to say 10 gal would be minimum for the adult version,anything else would be like you confined in a closet,no room to move,and not very happy.
