Would Yamato Shrimp bother cichlid fry upwards of a centimeter in length?

Are Yamato shrimp and Amano shrimp the same thing?
If so, I have been assured by someone who breeds both the shrimp and all sorts of other kinds of fish that they will not eat fry.

Yes, they are Amano Shrimp. I was sold them as Yamato Shrimp and call them that now.

No problem. The things have like a dozen different common names (like the things we call mystery snails), and so I just checked to make sure we were on the same page. I figured it was a good guess, since "Yamato" is a pretty common name to give something if a person wants to make it sound Japanese (a common tactic in pet stores).
