| well, they arent. and I think it would be better if you take him out of your tank, if you plan on having any fish left at all.
You say that you dont know about the nitrogen cycle. Please take a time and read it... (even though a month has already gone by it is very important to know about it.) https://www.fishlore.com/NitrogenCycle.htm |

| I'd also suggest you look up the crayfish profile and learn more about suitable tank mates for him, if there are any. |

| The idea is: Fish poop= ammonia(deadly)
after a couple days (even weeks)
Ammonia converts to nitrite (deadly)
after a couple of weeks
Nitrite converts to nitrate (safe)
here are the steps to follow:
Step one: buy an Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Freshwater Master test kit.
Step 2: test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.
Step three: If you have ANY ammount of either ammonia or nitrIte do a 50% water change.
Step 4: repeat the proccess the next day if necessary.
The whole point is that both ammonia and nitrite are poison to fish, and they will either get very sick or die of it. thats why you need to make sure that the tank is cycled. |

| No prob, also make sure you know what youre going to do with that crayfish. I would recommend replacing it for a bamboo shrimp or even better like 12 ghost shrimps! they are super cool looking and harmless to fish |

| ok, but I meant an invertebrate instead of the crayfish that looks alike... because the crayfish will most likely kill anything that passes by, including the Axolotl if thats what you want. |

| yes, they can be very mean. thats why they shouldnt be in a community tank.
here are pics of the bamboo shrimp and ghost shrimps. The bamboo get gets big, and requires mini food since he filters the current(you can crush regular fish food very, very tiny, almost powder like and it should be ok)
the ghosts will eat anything that falls to the bottom of the tank, and if you have a big enough colony they will reproduce for you! |

| I saw bamboo shrimp in the store for the first time a few months back.
They're pretty freaky. |

| yes, but they are so cute at the same time. they just sit near the curent and start waving their fans to catch the food particles that the current carries. The can grow to be 5+ inches but they are totally harmles, even to the smallest fry. |

| Not to be disrespectful, but many people warned you in your other thread that your crayfish would eat the other fish in your tank & that it should be removed. I'm glad that you finally did remove him - but upset that it wasn't soon enough to prevent another casulty. |
