how often should a 3 inch blue crayfish be fed? currently hes eating freeze dried krill every other or every 3 days.

I would say you are doing fine with the amount you are feeding it. I feed my crayfish live insects every couple of days, but it was a wild caught cray. Like I said, that should be a good enough amount. Also you have to remember that they are also scavengers, so they will eat anything else on the bottom of the tank.
