Re: crayfish

Most crayfish will eat your fish. Any type you have in mind?

Re: crayfish

Crayfish should be kept alone, really. They will eat small fish while they sleep, and big fish view crayfish as dinner, and crayfish chop down all plants within their living vacinity.

crayfish are amazing escape artists! if you dont have a tight fitting hood, plan on playing hide and seek!

Re: crayfish

I love my cray fish, but yes he does his best to get out. Crays have a strange desire to wander. I think it's a migrate instinct. I see them cruising to new ponds at work all the time. I keep mine (3in) in 20 gallons with 1 Gold Gourami and 1 Rosy Barb. It's his tank really. I'll be upgrading as he grows. I have had a couple, the first was killed by copper I was unaware of, the second was munched by my African Clawed frog. The one I have now is to tiny right now to do any harm. The 2 fish will stay in the 20 when the cray gets to the point that he is too big. Probably have 50 for him full grown. I recommend keeping water low with some floating plants so they can get out of the water but not out of the tank.
