Feeding peacock gobies

I just got a few peacock gobies, and I have them in a 10gal quarantine tank. I've read that they can be tricky to feed. I fed them some frozen bloodworms last night, and they seemed to like that. Flakes, not so much.

Any feeding tips for these guys? They don't seem to be real fast or aggressive when it comes to eating. Do I need to drop the food in front of them? Or just let the food sink to the bottom and wait for them to find it?

i have bumblebee gobys that are the same way towards their food-slow... until they realize its there. if you let the food just sink they probly won't go after it, it has to "move" by them you can do this by spot feeding or a small amount of flow on the bottom at feeding time to keep the food moving ever so slightly to keep their interest in it
hope this helps!

Peacock cichlids, especially wild caught ones, are not very fond of dry foods
such as flakes and pellets. You can train them to accept it, but keeping them on a strict dry-food diet is certainly not recommended. In the wild, they feed chiefly on insects, insect larvae and small crustaceans and they will therefore prefer a similar diet in the aquarium. They love brine shrimp, mosquito larvae, bloodworms and similar foods.

found that at aquaticcommunity for a lil extra info

Thanks for the helpful info, steed! I've been dropping the bloodworms and brine shrimp in front of them and that seems to work.

They're definitely a neat and quirky fish! Just not real fast about eating.
